My eating has also been on track with not too much sweet stuff sneaking into the diet.
I finally got some spare time yesterday and entered all of my BIA results into a spreadsheet so that I could actually see the overall results. I got a nice surprise really – it has really helped me acknowledge how far I have come.
Of course these results don’t cover the entire time that I have been at M1nt – while I joined in August 09, it was not until the end of January 10 that I did my first BIA. So, my total results from January to August are;
Waist Measurement – down 7.5cm (from August 09 to August 10 it is down 34.5cm)
Total Weight – down 7.1kg (from August 09 to August 10 it is down 11.2kg)
Fat Mass – down 7.83kg
Muscle Mass – up 0.32kg
Excess Water – up 0.41kg
Biological Age – I’m loving this... in the past 8 months my body has become younger by 4.33years!!!! You can’t claim that achievement often!
What I liked about looking at the figures this way, was that even with all of the little ups and downs that each figure has along the way – it is clear that the 7kg that I have lost in the past 8 months has all been from my fat mass/fat stores. So even though every week we watch my Excess Water go up and down – at the end of the day it is fat that I’m getting rid of.
As I have mentioned before the 34.5cm and 11kg that I have lost in the past year has also equated to me going from a pants size 28 to an 18 (which I am now putting on and taking off without undoing the buttons so may be time for a 16?).
What I never expected, or even considered, was how every part of my body has decreased – I have just had to take my Engagement Ring in to be resized because it had become too loose – and what I found crazy was that they are taking it down an entire size! To me it’s incredible to think that even my fingers have slimmed down! I will also be heading in shortly to have a link taken out of my watch strap and a link from my bracelet as they too are too big.
But I haven’t made the extreme change that my sis-in-law has – she lives in Aussie and has been working extremely hard – recently hitting the 30kg loss milestone. When I told her about my ring size she simply laughed and said that she now fits a size smaller shoes than she did two years ago!
New shoes... the price you have to pay for losing weight.
