A long weekend, plenty of time to get out and about and do plenty of exercise.
Didn't happen.
Go to the gym nice and warm in there.
Didn't happen.
Couch.
Happened.
Spent the weekend thinking that the body could do with a rest. I was kidding myself really, sure I needed a bit of downtime but the weather didn't help my cause at all. So going today at lunchtime for some quality time with the ipod on the dreadmill.
Had a weigh in with the food fuehrer on Friday morning. Scales down slightly, but the all important fat mass was down ever so slightly so I'll take that as a win.
Talked over my previous week of feeling blah, could be no sugar or limited amount of carbs in the system making me a bit flat. Tried convincing Di that a few pies would do the trick...she saw that coming and suggested a few more berries in my protein shake...brilliant. She's good.
Have taken a liking to the Bircher, finally. A great start to the day, not as appealing as bacon and eggs...but does the trick.
Heard a lady on the radio today talking about how she had lot 80kgs and run the Marathon over the weekend. Outstanding.
It was one of her goals, starting walking around Haggers and just progressed from there. I'd love to have a chat with her. Inspirational stuff. Doctor said she would spend the rest of her life battling type 2 diabetes, so she got up and sorted her life out. She doesn't suffer from diabetes anymore. Point taken.
Short week ahead, feeling positive this week.
Must have been the pies.
