What motivates you ?

We all having differing needs and wants when it comes to achieving goals.
So I guess it's motivation that helps you keep going to achieve those goals.
But what is motivation ? Motivation I suppose is the power to push us along and get to those goals.

So if you don't have set goals, does that mean you lack motivation ?
I know this all seems a bit 'zen' but here's my deal.
If my goal is to lose a certain amount of weight, then my motivation is there to achieve that goal, I have the drive to succeed so to speak.
But what if I had no fixed goal ? What if I just enjoyed going to the gym and eating right ? then would I lack motivation ?

Luckily I've got that 'goal' and the people around me supply the support to encourage my motivation.

The team at M1nt, are all experts at helping you define goals and supplying the tools to create the motivation to get there.
Whether it's a programme, PT session, group class or a trip to the food fuehrer, they have it sorted...and they are good folk.

Lately however it's the people who I don't know that are helping with my motivation.
It maybe just passing a jogger on my way home in the car and thinking...geez if they're out in this weather, then why can't I.
Seeing someone at work have a salad instead of the usual pie and coke....that's the stuff that motivates me lately.

So it doesn't always have to be a big poster on the wall saying 'Oi fatty...drop some kilos' !

I bring this up, because for another week, the scales haven't moved.
The BIA shows that the work is going in, and my body shape is changing (3cm this week on gut)
but for me the 'push' that makes up the motivation some weeks comes directly from the scales, and that's my current battle.

Am I lacking motivation, no. Do I have set goals, yes.

We'll get there.
